Dust & dirt

We are nothing,

but foodless children.

Nothing to eat,

but dust and dirt.

War after war,

in our poor homeland,

leaves us nothing

but dust and dirt.

We are beggars,

yes, of food

and of peace.

Why do you fight?

Over petty matters?

Why sacrifice us?

Over misunderstandings?

War leaves us nothing,

but dust and dirt.

What little we have,

they take it away.

Where are those doctors,

which they promised us?

They leave us eaten,

by disease so cruel,

within and without.

War leaves us nothing,

but dust and dirt.

We are dying,

of hunger and disease.

Our skin crackling,

like paper so dry.

Bones poke out,

from body so helpless

deprived of everything

but dust and dirt.

War is so dreadful

and yet it’s being fought.

Haven’t they learnt lessons,

embedded in history?

Why don’t they stop

and talk things out?

We are dying,

oh yes we are,

for war brings us nothing

but dust and dirt.

Considerably, this post is really the sweetest on this notable topic. I harmonise with your conclusions and will thirstily look forward to your incoming updates. Saying thanks will not just be sufficient, for the phenomenal clarity in your writing. I will directly grab your rss feed to stay informed of any updates. Admirable work and much success in your business dealings!? Please excuse my poor English as it is not my first tongue.
